Kristi Castenando can’t even think about her July wedding at the Woodward Room without tearing up. “I just want to cry when I think about entering the room. Everything was perfect. “The guests had that look on their faces that was half happy and half surprised. I want to remember that always.”

“I never realized we could afford something like this,” said Kristi. “So many places are really formal and this is just so open you can make it your own.” She and her husband, Cory, wanted a wedding venue that had enough space for the ceremony and the reception in the same location. She said the arrangement of the seating allowed her to be able to look everyone in the eye as she walked down the aisle.

“The lunch was just fabulous,” she said. The couple opted for Chicken Marsala, salmon and meatloaf to serve their 100 guests.

She praised the staff at the Woodward for making everything flow so well and for taking care of all the details so she could bask in the moment. “We don’t get to see our family that much and once they had traveled for the wedding we wanted everyone to be involved. “

“We all had a fantastic time and our guests wondered where we found such a gem of a place. We had so much fun and didn’t have to worry about a thing. You and your staff had everything under control and were very professional. The Woodward is very elegant and classy but also very comfortable. Thanks again for everything.”

"We were blown-away by how wonderful our wedding reception was, at The Woodward Room. When nighttime fell and the blinds were opened, allowing the Downtown South Bend lights to shine-in, we had an astoundingly elegant, calm, and safe ambiance that all of our guests very clearly enjoyed. Morgan LaFluer and her staff did a wonderful job. She is one of the most industrious and dedicated service vendors my wife and I have EVER dealt with - in any industry or capacity. Morgan poured her heart and soul into our event, promising that everything would be perfect, and she certainly delivered on that promise.

In addition to the staff and the room itself, The Woodward has a great set of preferred vendors with whom they work, as well as a great open policy for catering. We were able to have Garden Fresh Catering prepare our Polish style buffet, and we could not believe how many compliments we received about it. Additionally, Garden Fresh displayed a keen mastery of buffet portion management - as there was no chance of our 150 guest reception running-out of food. Our guests were very well-fed and happy as they enjoyed the music played by R&S Entertainment (another preferred vendor of The Woodward). DJ Scott Barrett and his wife Chantelle were - like Morgan - people with whom you don't just do business, but you genuinely wish them and their families the very best into the future. Because of how wonderful our day wedding was, we will be singing the praises of The Woodward Room and their preferred vendors for years to come."
